Vinyasa yoga is a style of Ashtanga yoga. The focus is on this style of yoga on the vinyasa which means a specific posture that dynamically connects the traditional yoga postures. Vinyasa yoga has quite strict guidelines as there are six specific series of postures that are always done in the same order. The posture systems also include specific breathing patterns that are connected to them and also predetermined.
Usually Ashtangi and therefore also vinyasa yoga is done with the pace suitable for each student, so although there is a teacher in the class everybody can find their own personal rhythm and follow that.
Vinyasa yoga creates heat in the body which in turn cleanses it through increased sweating and fastened circulation. Vinyasa yoga is especially useful if you want to increase your flexibility and hard tissue and tendon strength. Thus, even harder yoga positions can be done with decreased possibility to suffer from an injury.
Although, vinyasa yoga increases your flexibility, some fitness is required to start doing that type of yoga. Thus, if you are a beginner and have never done yoga before it is advised to try out some easier trainings first and then move on to vinyasa yoga.
